In the last few years, several individuals have worked very hard to move ARD forward and escape a somewhat deserved, questionable reputation. The District has added new managers and much needed competence in some of its key positions. Some of the currently sitting Board members weathered the "storms" that reeked havoc in the District and helped formulate an attitude and mission that is propelling the District to new levels.
Now is the time for the District to take another step forward and move towards a more "business" like atmosphere during its Board meetings. Parliamentary procedure has never been the District's forte, and from time to time the conduct of business more resembles the floor of the N.Y. Stock exchange than an orderly Roberts Rules of Order meeting.
As the community evaluates the four "new" candidates vying for a position on the Board, thought should be given to which individual can bring an enhanced level of decorum and protocol to the dais while adding new ideas to the “mix”. Which individual possesses that business attitude while being willing to adhere to a orderly process of business.
As I have said in the past, I am supporting Wayne Lyndon to fill the forthcoming vacant position and feel that he will bring this needed decorum to the Board. Help us move even further along the path and elect Wayne to the Board.
