Chick-fil-A's 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Easter Bunny stops for a Photo!

This past Saturday the Roseville Chick-fil-A hosted a gigantic 1st Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt. Yes, at the restaurant....they had over 1500 square feet of REAL GRASS brought in, courtesy of Lowe's Home Improvement of Citrus Heights, to cover part of the parking lot for the most perfect hunting grounds! Over 1500 Children attended the event along with their Family and Friends. Eleven Egg Hunt Races were held in all and every child was able to win many many egg-citing prizes!

The Egg Hunt featured well over 10,000 eggs and all of the eggs had prize tickets that were exchanged for an assortment of prizes ranging from a Free Ice Cream Cone or Food Items, Disney Prizes or Bike Safety Locks to Bicycles!! There was loads of fun for the entire family including character appearances by the Chick-fil-A COWs and their friends the Easter Bunny, Mr. Jelly Belly and McGruff the Crime Dog. The Family Circle of Clowns provided entertainment. Many local community businesses participated including AAA Insurance, US Bank, Staples, EmbroidMe and the radio station KNCI 105.1. Each booth hosted a variety of Prize Wheels, Give-Aways or Drawings for wonderful prizes including a Family Vacation Package. The Rocklin and Roseville Police Departments were on-site with Child Safety information, a Patrol Vehicle and Police representatives. The Kiwanis Club of Rocklin and the Rocklin High School Key Club were main sponsors of the event and also provided numerous event volunteers. Spring View Middle School in Rocklin provided more than 30 student volunteers.

Chick-fil-A is already looking forward to next year's 2nd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt! "Although we had a very large grass area brought in for the morning - next year we will probably have to double the size!” said Chick-fil-A's Marketing Director Holly Looman. As far as any glitches for a first time event, it should be acknowledged that the Prize Redemption line was pretty long but well worth the wait. Good news for next year's event - by the end of the morning the line was moving very quickly and smoothly!
