Continuing their perfect season, the Mother Lode Rugby under-19 girls’ defeated the Davis Lady Devils 60-0 on Saturday.

Mother Lode has been training hard for the upcoming game against their rivals, the Amazons, who placed in the national championships last year.

"We play every game like we're playing the Amazons," team captain Gillian Chance said.

This dedication has obviously paid off; especially for power forward Jessica Davis and talented rookie Maddie Arenchild. The much anticipated Mother Lode-Amazon game is still a few weeks off, but on Sunday Mother Lode will play Alameda at Cordova High School at 4 p.m.
