Sarah Heise, a 2008 Folsom High graduate, recently finished up a two-year stint playing basketball for the American River College Beavers.

Heise, a team caption for the last two years, led the Beavers to the playoffs this season and was selected to the Big 8 All-Conference team. Heise finished the season as her team’s leading scorer, averaging 13 points a game, good enough for fourth-best in the conference as well.

Heise also led her team in field goals, 3-pointers, free throws and free throw percentage (76 percent). She finished second on her team in rebounding and steals. She shot 42 percent from the floor and an impressive 40 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

Heise also made the Academic All-Conference team the last two years.
