The SAFE Credit Union Corporate Office, located at 3720 Madison Avenue, North Highlands, CA 95660 has been certified as a Sustainable Business by the Sacramento Regional Sustainable Business Program. The certification was earned by taking voluntary actions to conserve energy, prevent pollution, and reduce the amount of solid waste generated. SAFE encourages it’s members to ‘Go Green’ by offering lower loan rates for the purchase of hybrid vehicles, and, by keen stewardship of its resources, the credit union is becoming even more environmentally-friendly and operationally efficient.

The Sustainable Business Program, operated by the Business Environmental Resource Center at McClellan, California, is a free service available to all Sacramento region businesses and organizations. It encourages businesses to conserve resources, prevent pollution, implement green building practices, use energy efficiently, and reduce water consumption.

There is no cost to participate in The Sustainable Business Program. It is made possible through the sponsorship of the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD), Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), the Regional Water Authority, the Water Forum, and the Business Environmental Resource Center (BERC).
